My husband and I are gardeners in Zone 5 in Canada. Really, with the wet clay up here, it is more like Zone 4 on a bad day. We are also busy professionals who commute into the big city for work most days. We struggle with the extremes of suffocating snow and ice, unpredictable spring freezes, and the humidity of summer. Much, if not most, of our spare time revolves around the gardens and our doggies who love gardening as much as we do (as long as it involves eating the plant containers and stealing the solar lights).
